HPC-D claims killing of Mizo youth in Manipur

The Hmar People’s Conference-Democracy (HPC-D) claimed responsibility for the July 9 killing of a Mizo youth, Lalsangliana, in the Churachandpur district, according to Sangai Express. The HPC-D accused him of being a Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) cadre.

Three militants belonging to the Military Council faction of the KCP surrendered along with two 9-mm pistols and nine rounds of ammunition before the Army at Leimakhong in the capital Imphal on July 14, reports Imphal Free Press.

The People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) refused to release two school children, Akoijam Bipinchandra and Akoijam Ajoy, who were abducted from the Thoubal district.
