Sinlung People’s Liberation Organisation (SPLO) Formed

Imphal, Dec 24: Taking into consideration the possible phenomena of Tipaimukh and Tuiriel Hydel Projects, the allegedly affected people have formed a political party christened Sinlung People’s Liberation Organisation on January 17, 2007.
In a statement, self styled secretary in charge of information and publicity department of SPLO, said that SPLO has a frontal organisation named Sinlung People’s Liberation Army (SPLA).
The SPLA will safeguard the and fight for the causes of the SPLO, said the statement and added that SPLA men have completed their military and physical training courses.
Though the main objective of the party centres around the said Projects and Central Reserve Forest (Bubon) area, it will work for the welfare of the people concerned of Assam, Mizoram and Manipur, added the statement.
