Khonumthung News , July 30 - Chin state employees of the Myanmar government are being forced to replant over 7,000 acres with Jatropha trees destroyed in a forest fire in 2005. The order to involve government employees from various departments has come from the Township Peace and Development Council (TPDC) authorities.

Villagers to provide sandstones for road construction

Khonumthung News, July 7 - Villagers in Zokhuamawi village, near Tio River on the Indo-Myanmar border have been ordered to provide sandstones for the construction of a three kilometer long asphalt road link between Zokhuamawi village and Rih sub-town in Chin state. The directive comes from the Myanmar military authorities.
