Khonumthung News, July 7 - Villagers in Zokhuamawi village, near Tio River on the Indo-Myanmar border have been ordered to provide sandstones for the construction of a three kilometer long asphalt road link between Zokhuamawi village and Rih sub-town in Chin state. The directive comes from the Myanmar military authorities.

Kuala Lumpur, July 2 (Khonumthung) :Malaysia has stepped up its crackdown against illegal migrants from Burma. Malaysia’s volunteer corps, the RELA rounded up 200 Burmese nationals hailing from Chin state in a fresh crackdown which began on June 28.
